Description

Figures 272 (upper) and 273 (lower) from Chapter 8 (Lysosomes) of 'The Cell, 2nd Ed.' by Don W. Fawcett M.D. Lysosomes in the basal region of epithelial cells from the cauda epididymis of the rabbit. Common inclusions in the secondary lysosomes shown here are concentric, thin, dense lamellae thought to be hydrated phospholipid. Image by Roy Jones. A PDF copy of the accompanying chapter is available on the ASCB’s BioEDUCATE website.
