Description

Peroxisomes in cultured rat hepatocytes have proliferated under treatment with 4-phenylbutyrate. The animal was transgenic for PPARalpha -/-, so phenyl butyrate acts without the PPAR receptor.

Technical Details

The cells were fixed in buffered formol-calcium, anticatalase immunogold label.
