Confocal micrograph showing the hormone-producing enteroendocrine cells of the Drosophila melanogaster adult midgut. The enteroendocrine cell nuclei are labelled with an anti-Prospero antibody (red), and the cytoplasms of a subset are highlighted in green. The muscle fibers of this portion of the aduult digestive tract are labelled in blue for actin with phalloidin staining.
