Time lapse movie prepared from fluorescence microscopy time series of a Drosophila S2 cell stably expressing mCherry-alpha-tubulin and spreading on a ConA-coated substrate in the presence of cyto D. Long processes containing microtubule bundles are formed. Microtubule looping and entry into the bundles appears to contribute to the growth of the processes. This movie is part of a grouped set that includes the corresponding time series stack of images.
Time series of widefield fluorescence images were recorded using a Nikon U-2000 inverted microscope equipped with a Nikon 100x NA 1.49 objective lens, Nikon perfect Focus system and Cascade II EMCCD camera (Roper Scientific)driven by Metamorph software.
