Adapted with permission. Extensions of cytopharyngeal microtubular ribbons that pass into the endoplasm from the cytopharynx. Discoidal vesicles bind to one side only of these ribbons (the anterior side) and move to the growing phagosome. Also, a developing trichocyt. TEM taken on 11/2/68 by R. Standard glutaraldehyde fixation followed by osmium tetroxide, dehydrated in alcohol and embedded in an epoxy resin. Microtome sections prepared at approximately 75nm thickness. The negative was printed to paper and the image was scanned to Photoshop. This digitized image is available for qualitative analysis.
