Description

Dance of the Chromosomes. The movie captures the entire course of mitosis in a PtK1 (Potorus tridactylis kidney) cell from prophase through the formation of two daughter cells. This is a time-lapse movie in which the time intervals are different during different stages of mitosis (10 to 30 seconds). A time stamp is shown in the top-left corner of each frame.
