Description

Quick-freeze deep-etch image of a DV-III containing paracrystalline sheets in its lumen. The sheets have parallel rows of subunits spaced at 20nm center-to-center but the chemical nature of the sheets is unknown; they do not appear to be acid phosphatase positive. TEM taken on 6/7/88 by C. Schroeder with Zeiss 10A operating at 80kV. Neg. 24,800X. Bar = 0.2µm. A print of the negative was scanned and processed in Photoshop.
